HCN Law is a boutique legal firm that has been operating since 1 June 2004 in Maitland NSW.
HCN Law works collaboratively with its practice to promote sharing of knowledge and expertise to provide trusted legal services Maitland, Newcaste and the Hunter Valley.

Earl Hulin
Admitted to legal practice in 1997, Earl has practised continuously in private practice. Prior to his admission as a legal practitioner, Earl practised as a clinical psychologist in the Department of Health.
Michael Nowland
Michael joined the firm in 2022 as the new Principal Solicitor after previously working for Sparke Helmore Lawyers in Newcastle and in boutique legal practices locally. Michael resides with his wife Kristy and his four-year-old triplets, Finn, Eve and Eloise in Lorn. When Michael’s not at work you will find him at Maitland Park playing with his children.
Renae Cooper
Legal Secretary at Hulin Chadwick Lawyers for almost 20 years. Renae is your first point of contact with our firm and our resident expert in all things probate and estate administration. When Renae is not at work you will find her chauffeuring her children to and from after school activities.
Toni Chenery
Legal Secretary at Hulin Chadwick Lawyers for over 17 years. Toni is our Conveyancing whiz-kid and she will be able to help you with any administrative questions you have about your conveyancing matter. When Toni is not at work you will find her playing with her granddaughters.
